The Masterpiece by Javan

The Masterpiece by Javan

We are born into the world like a blank canvas and each person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes his mark upon our surface - So it is that we develop - But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work. For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a Masterpiece.

November UFO - and Other Wonderments

The Patchwork Times UFO Challenge for November was
finished with time to spare this month... probably because it was so much fun.
This is how it started on the my list as number three....

and now I have all three done.

I  completed a  birthday present - folder with a Junior Legal Pad insert -
for dear granddaughter.  Sure hope she likes it.

Coasters were made for the neighbors for Christmas
and DWH is making a box to store them in.
Sure hope they do not look at my blog - Ohwell!!!

Other completions this month have been tea towels - a very big thank you to
Shell from Raspberry Rabbits who sent me this pattern when she heard I was
running out of stitchery projects while recuperating from pneumonia.
Plain white tea towel and just beautiful done in variegated red Sulky thread.

Cannot forget my other pumpkin - I actually got both of these
tea towels done before Thanksgiving...
and I used a beige Dunroven towel this time.

Another wonderful completion was a design from Debbie
I left her wording off so it would match the others
I have completed from her designs.  Love all my tea towels.
Well, it was time for the Sewing Room Christmas tree
to make it's appearance in time for the
Golden Girls meeting next Monday.
Do you remember to decorate the room you spend the most time in
 this time of the year?

I cannot leave out the goodies that were made for
Thanksgiving with a very big thank you
just for blogging about these wonderful little treats.

Can you believe what you can make with just
Nutter Butter cookie miniatures, chocolate morsels,
Hershey kisses and a little chocolate frosting
to glue them all together?

They were enjoyed by all and the recipe was shared with everyone.

I have had a self imposed absence from blogging lately...
I had double pneumonia in October...
lots of tests and doctors in November...
and December will be more tests and doctors,
but I should get a diagnosis soon - hopefully.
I do not know whether this if serious or not, but do know it will be life changing.

Feeling better every day and working on getting my stamina back right now.
This is my journey today - looking for the delightful and the happy ...
because life is good and Christmas is coming.

Those little signs are too cute and good for you finishing them! It looks like you've gotten a lot done even with having been sick. And thank you for how to make those cute little treats. A coworker had seen a photo of them online and we were scratching our heads. Guess what's going to work soon for treats? Yep!
