The Masterpiece by Javan

The Masterpiece by Javan

We are born into the world like a blank canvas and each person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes his mark upon our surface

So it is that we develop

But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work

For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a Masterpiece. Javan

The Middle Of Waiting

I seem to have been doing a lot of waiting the last six weeks.
Waiting for company that came for three days...
waiting for the doctor's office to call back with a referral appointment...
waiting to be called for my test(s)...
waiting for prescriptions...
waiting to figure out where Thanksgiving will be...
waiting until after I am through with waiting -
I think I will call that open time.

It is the middle of November - try telling that to the beautiful Boston fern that just does not stop.
Maybe she  is just waiting for winter like the rest of us.

it is November 14th by gosh.

Every time I imagined being in my room or starting a new quilt project...
I wait for the right time - without interruptions..
Life does happen and responsibilities can take over one's life.

I believe we have time now - but wait, we have a trip to DWD's house this weekend.
Then we will have Golden Girls on Monday.
What fun to have those to wait for!!!

I really do want to get some of my special sewing done - and need to finish up
the presents for the Golden Girls, so cannot work on those right now.
I guess I will just wait until after Monday for a better time.

Thanksgiving will be different for us this year.  We will go to daughter's
the weekend before and celebrate granddaughter's birthday instead of Thanksgiving.
Just works out better for everyone and we will be with family celebrating...
just not on Thanksgiving.

We will be taking a little two-day trip during Thanksgiving week,
just the husband, the dog and I.

Then the day after Thanksgiving they have a wonderful  craft show called
The Christmas Carosel at the State Fair Grounds and
we love this show above all others.
Can't wait to go there - after I get through waiting.

I will cook DWH turkey and dressing - I always do regardless if we go somewhere else
for Thanksgiving - just have to have those left overs for him.

I will be waiting for all this activity to be over so I can finish up some presents.
The neighbors need a little present don't you think.?

Christmas will be quiet for us as none of the six children will be coming home.
Pity party us.

They have their own, busy lives now with all their holiday activities, parties
and friends and other family members visiting so we will be on our own waiting for their calls so we catch up on Christmas wishes and blessings.
Things sure do change when they live out-of-state and have families of their own..

I almost forgot - we will have some company - Chester and Harley will be visiting while DWD and DSIL are"cruising" the week before Christmas with Malisa and Steven. Can you guess which one is Chester?

Christmas morning will shine nice and bright and DWH and I
will have our traditional Christmas ham biscuits, fried apples, eggs and oyster stew...
just like always - just will not have to have it ready at a certain time because we will not be waiting for anyone.  We will still be sad to not have any of them here with us.

Last year it snowed the day after Christmas - maybe, please, please!!!

I love the snow - DWH just tolerates it nicely as long as he can stay home.

I will now go back to my dreaming, scheming, imagining and waiting.

This year just maybe we will do Christmas cards,
seems we will have plenty of time between Christmas and New Year's..

I believe everyone should work on their cards between Christmas
and New Years when there is enough time to address them and write notes.
Now if someone would just create the card that says -
"I hope your Christmas was wonderful
and may your New Year be happy!"

Never did have much to do between Christmas and New Year's...
but wait!!!

Happiness along your journey and delight in and along your days.
