The Masterpiece by Javan

The Masterpiece by Javan

We are born into the world like a blank canvas and each person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes his mark upon our surface - So it is that we develop - But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work. For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a Masterpiece.

The Ghastlies Have Arrived - You Can Win

Lovely to See You My Dears...
COME AND PLAY

Welcome to our 1st Annual Ghastlie Blog HOP

If you have this thing for Ghastlies
and they have tied you in a knot
and you wish you could get them out of your mind
than this may be a thought.

We heard her plea for a cure
Mdm Samm was pos/it/ively sure
that we could stitch the nights away
in hopes that we MAY----
( all 53 of us)

BUT....
The side effects are Ghastlie
there is no mistaking too.
if you don't run this very minute
YOU too will catch the FLU...

We suspected all along
this was her master plan
she did not want to be alone,
with all YOU Ghastlie FANS...

It must be Tuesday, October 25th, because here I am
along with my Sistahs Annie, Doris, Brandie, Alidiza...
 Glastlie's All
So Be sure to check them out.  Links are further down.

The month of October was very memorable and very busy...

I started with a Mug Rug -
but surely I could do more!
This was a must have, a very needful thing.
Try real hard here... can you see the witch saying this to the little girls?
 You gotta imagine harder...
This stuff is magic.

Added some props - Samm has props - so can we. Found my lovely mug and black roses,
even came up with my magic wand ...
 waving vigorously here ...
we need some magic happening...
I think we are among nonbelievers.
You gotta try harder Friends of Ghastlie!!!

Along came the pumpkins - fun to make and hard to finish.  Three of the fabrics are Ghastlie, but had to add some pink and rose to match other things you know... be patient and know there is a reason.  Made from "Lil Punkins" pattern from Sweet Treasures by Amber Hiebert

Wow, wow, wow what a trick or treat bowl!!!  Have you evah? Gorgeous and made to hold goodies for all the goblins that will come a knocking.  Could not resist the fun fur ... wanted one picture of the bowl standing up.  Made from the book Fast, Fun & Easy Fabric Bowls by Linda Johansen

Added a little web of my own and my trusty little friend Matilly came to check it out. Wonder if she likes Milky Way Dark ...yumm...  my favorite, which is exactly why we only buy bite size pieces. That's the sparkle you see in the bowl sitting down.

Definitely running out of steam when I got this done.
The wall quilt was finished just in time.

Are they looking in or am I looking out from within ... what do you think?

Watching and wondering as the world goes by
This is 34" x 42"  and has it's very own web that was woven over the witch's face to hide her as she peeks in the window... hidden in plain sight.

The Wind Was Blowing

This is what I was able to accomplish  as I was only able to work in short spurts this entire month.
You know we quilters honor our commitments and this is what kept the month enjoyable for me.
