This is where it was last week .... Walking in a Winter Wonderland in the hottest July ever !!! and now...
The pattern is by Crabapple Hill and I did in Bluework - just seemed like winter to me. I used Sulky 12 wt thread in Nassau Blue. I love this thread for all of my stitcheries - comes on a spool and there is no splitting the floss - perfect weight for Redword and Bluework. The fabric is RJR's Redword Bluework Revival and a little bit of Dimples thrown in for variety and texture.

That was the small print up above.The panels have come together to make a statement and each one is better than the one before.. The stars were a joy to make - even though I swore off stars for this year - all 24 seemed to progress right on and I only lost a couple of points putting them together - a very big Oh Well !!! The borders ended up exactly the right size and the coping strip did not have to be altered. Yeah!!! I am pretty pleased with this and so glad it is complete - by me - now goes to the quilter and becomes part of her list. This was a perfect pattern.

Mary Ellen at the Thistlebee in Goldsboro has these primitive muslins maybe by Windham but kinda like the Moda neutrals, that I want to use for the embroidery of this quilt top. I will find our what it is so I can tell you..

Beautiful job on this quilt. I'm making it too. I'm just finishing up the largest stitchery at the top, and I have the small middle one of the toboggen left. Then about five more stars. Getting there. Yours inspires me to keep going. I love this quilt.

Your 'Winter Wonderland' quilt is gorgeous....I've the embroidery blocks finished...in red...might just have to make a blue one too.....thanks for the inspiration....now I want to get to piecing the blocks.....I luv all Meg's patterns and have most of them.
