The Masterpiece by Javan

The Masterpiece by Javan

We are born into the world like a blank canvas and each person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes his mark upon our surface - So it is that we develop - But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work. For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a Masterpiece.

OTL.... and that means

Off The List - These three quilts needed some more love put in them, so off to the long-arm quilter to work the magic and just like that - they are now finished. The binding is sewn down, the label is attached and I will write on it when I decide the pertinent information.  This has been my June busy work.

Amish Jewels is a beautiful sofa quilt and the kit was a lovely Christmas present from step-daughter Monica many moons ago. She will be gifted the quilt.

Another Thangles story - Karen, one of the gals from my Golden Girls sewing group, gifted everyone with a BOBW (Block of Bi-Weekly) in our own colors - mine was red and white of course. Each bi-weekly gathering brought a new block and finally a completion and it is stunning. Wish I had pictures of all the quilts as we could have a quilt show. Ladies - pull those quilts out!!!

This pattern is College Bound from "Anything But Boring", and the fabric was a layer cake of Portobello Market. The name has yet to be decided - any suggestions? The grand boys would have loved the pattern but the fabric has florals - so not for them.

What do you think of my new camera?  Are the colors brighter?

Judy C sends happy wishes for staying cool and creative along your journey, wherever it takes you.

These are great! My favorite is the last one, tho, and since the GBs can't have flowers in their quilts, I guess you better send it to me for safe-keeping. :D

The pictures are great! What kind of camera did you get? I keep thinking I 'need' another one. :)

Thank you so much for your lovely visit to my blog.

The Amish Jewels quilt really does sparkle--I love it. But my favorite is the red and white. I have yet to attempt a two-color quilt, but I sure do admire them from afar. Good job. They are all wonderful quilts. Doesn't it feel good to cross the finish line?

Great job on every one of those beauties!
