The Masterpiece by Javan

The Masterpiece by Javan

We are born into the world like a blank canvas and each person that crosses our path takes up the brush and makes his mark upon our surface - So it is that we develop - But we must realize there comes a day that we must take up the brush and finish the work. For only we can determine if we are to be just another painting or a Masterpiece.

Cottage Maze - Oh My !!!

While seeking inspiration, I came across the fabrics I have been collecting for the Works HiddenInMyMind - WHIMM - project.  I have been waiting a long time to use that particular acronym.  I decided somewhere along the way that coral, green and periwinkle would look good together and as you can see, coral and green are a lot easier to find than periwinkle.

The pattern will be Cottage Maze by Carolina Patchworks

Since I commited this year to NOT make star quilts, this definitely fits the bill. Really, does every pattern or quilt have to have a star in it?  I have seen some really nice quilt patterns that I plan to use (can't wait to do the plaid quilt) and I have also seen some really modern-looking quilts that I will not be making.  So here are my fabrics - just need to get that special off-white background purchased and I really do need a couple more periwinkles.  Wish me luck on my search.

Wishing you happiness on your journey - Judy C

the colors are very bright...not typical, and like you I'm not too incline to make a trendy one, but will I finish one? Love the traditional blocks and quilts...warmer feeling of love I think.
